Was lucky enough to shoot this guy yesterday. He’s really nice and cool. It wasn’t for any magazines or assignments, thankfully. He was cool enough to spend hours with me and shoot some experimental stuff I wanted to try for my personal portfolio. I chose to shoot with natural light, as all of his other stuff seems to have the same type of composition. I wanted to compose it differently and have something he would enjoy. This was his favorite of all locations (I got his "good side" as he likes to call it haha), which was a hallway at my friend’s house. The hallway had glass walls that had direct natural light from the outside seeping in, and I was intrigued by the light coming from opposite directions, neither of which coming from the direction of the camera. It was a fun experience.

I shot Jamie’s Elsewhere yesterday in Tampa, FL, at the Brass Mug. They’re signed to Victory Records and are headlining a tour with Memphis May Fire and I Am Abomination. This particular shoot was only about 2 or 3 minutes. I’m very impressed with the shots, as I only took 15 total. Check out their music and buy their new album “They Said A Storm Was Coming.”

Convalesce

Convalesce is originally from Puerto Rico and recently moved to Jacksonville, FL. They’re recording at Chango Studios and recently joined Chango Management. Theyre really cool guys and I enjoyed the shoot. Usually bands want the same type of thing color-wise, but this band was really into the different white-balance I was trying out.

I would like to thank Brittany Bridges and Jonathan Vasquez for letting me be a jerk and take their equipment for the shoot. I recently had equipment stolen as well as broken. I had some equipment on its way but it wasn’t scheduled to get here in time, so last minute they let me borrow their stuff. 2 good friends and 300 miles later this is what you get.

Sleeping With Sirens (Rise Records)

Met up with Sleeping with Sirens (Rise Records) for a photo shoot. Everything in this shoot was based on last minute changes. A day of missing equipment, malfunctioning/broken equipment, rentals, and rain on the primary location. We were lucky to find this location on such short notice. We found it downtown and the security guard was gracious enough to let us use it.

The band is becoming notorious for their acoustic sets, as they post acoustic videos on youtube and everyone seems to have seen something acoustic by them and say nothing but great things. Well I was responsible for producing their newest acoustic video for You Kill Me In A Good Way. The video is coming along great, and has more cinematic quality than the one-shot webcam footage the band usually posts. I think everyone will be really into it. I will post when it is released.

By the way, thanks so much to everyone who supported me through my phase of no work. I feel like I’m back and will be posting a lot more work soon!

My buddy Jorge hit me up about shooting his friend, Xavior, a rap artist under the name Jettson. So I booked it for Saturday, a day that I had two other shoots already booked. It was my first shoot with a rapper, so it was fun to get a different style out there.
